Jobert Austria etches new life in Canada

Jobert Austria, once among more in-demand resident comedians of ABS-CBN, is now a permanent resident of Calgary in Canada.

No, he didn't migrate there due to work issues.

In an interview with "Balitang America," Jobert explained he simply got tired living away from his wife, Chad.

"That's why I decided to live here especially that I'm already a permanent resident and my work continues online anyway," he said in Filipino.

He has adjusted well there, doing stand-up gigs once in a while.

Jobert revealed, "Mas madaling magpatawa dito."

In any case, he expressed deep sympathy for colleagues who lost their jobs after ABS-CBN failed in its bid to renew its franchise.
