A Facebook survey conducted from December 29, 2020 to January 3, 2021 involving 6,218 respondents showed that 84 percent favor the Pfizer vaccine.  Six percent prefer Moderna, four percent prefer AstraZeneca and Russia's Sputnik V, while only 1 percent prefer China's Sinovac.

Sixty-four percent of the respondents want to be inoculated with 18 percent eager to get the jab while another 18 percent do not want it yet.

Mayor Toby Tiangco earlier said about 50,000 residents will be inoculated with the AstraZeneca vaccine in the second half of 2021 after the local government secured a P25 million deal to purchase the vaccines.

Tiangco said the city will also purchase vaccines from Pfizer.
