Anthony Taberna shows daughter's growing hair after diagnosed with leukemia

Broadcast journalist-radio commentator Anthony Taberna couldn't help but be happy now that Zoey's hair is slowly starting to grow just more than a year after his teenage daughter was diagnosed with leukemia.

On Instagram, Anthony shared a series of family photos in which the 12-year-old Zoey could be seen showing off her new look.

For the past months, Zoey has been undergoing chemotherapy, and had chopped off all her hair. She's now wearing a bonnet, wigs to tuck away her insecurity and hair extension.

Anthony is grateful that his daughter doesn't have to wear them.

"Walang bonnet. Walang hair extension. Walang wig. Ito na ang totoong buhok ni Zoey. Medyo mabagal tumubo pero magandang umpisa ng Bagong Taon. Go go go Zoey!!! Wag ka na malulungkot ulit sa buhok mo ha? We are Familia Taberna and we’re #TeamStrong!" he wrote.

On Dec. 2, 2019, Zoey was rushed to the hospital when she complained about unexplained pain in her legs. After multiple tests, she was diagnosed with leukemia.
