DAVAO CITY - The DOH Davao Center for Health Development reported that out of the 1,539 persons tested on Tuesday, 130 were found to be positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the region on Tuesday bringing the total number of recorded cases to 11,722. The region has 1,910 active cases.
Davao City recorded the most number of new cases with 94, followed by Davao del Norte with 25 cases; Davao Oriental with six cases, Davao de Oro with four cases, and Davao del Sur with one case.
Of the active cases, Davao City has 1,409; Davao del Norte has 272; Davao de Oro has 111; Davao del Sur has 83; and Davao Oriental has 35. Davao Occidental currently has zero active cases. But the province has recorded a total of 122 COVID-19 cases with 119 recoveries and three fatalities.
Meanwhile, five deaths were reported on Tuesday. Four of the fatalities were from Davao City and one was from Davao Oriental. Davao region has a total of 463 deaths due to COVID-19.
There were also 130 recoveries reported on Tuesday. The DOH said 68 of the latest recoveries were from Davao City, 35 were from Davao del Norte, 12 from Davao del Sur, nine from Davao Oriental and six from Davao de Oro.
