NBI informant shot in QC

A National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) drug informant was injured after unidentified assailants shot him inside his vehicle in Quezon City Friday morning.

The Quezon City Police District identified him as Demsen Tan, resident of Manila. According to NBI Deputy Director Ferdinand Lavin, Tan was "an informant of the NBI who has contributed valuable information to the anti-illegal drugs campaign" of the agency.

Meanwhile, two more individuals—identified as Irene Versoza and Carlota Lamata—were injured after they were hit by the stray bullets.

Police said the incident happened along Holy Spirit Drive in Barangay Holy Spirit around 9:30 a.m.

Tan was reportedly driving his vehicle when the perpetrators aboard a Toyota Vios "suddenly appeared" and "peppered his vehicle with bullets on both sides."

Police said, the victim still managed to run toward a nearby bank. However, he was followed by the gunmen and shot at him for several times, which also resulted in injuring a bank client and a pedestrian.
