Fun cook off: Jennifer Garner and mom share family recipe

It's her grandmother’s beloved sweet potato pudding

Actress and businesswoman Jennifer Garner drew inspiration from an old family recipe for her latest sweet potato blend that will give back to feed hungry children. In an Instagram live, the actress was joined by her mother Patricia Ann Garner, as she shared her grandmother Exie's holiday recipe.

“This blend couldn’t have more meaning for my family and me if it tried,” Garner wrote on the caption of the playful video clip. Watch the video to find out whose recipe you prefer—Jennifer's or her mom's as they did an on-the-spot cook off for Thanksgiving day.

She also took it as an opportunity to announce her new online exclusive product for Once Upon a Farm in partnership with Save the Children. “Once Upon a Farm is celebrating Giving Tuesday by launching our official partnership with Save the Children and with our newest blend— Farmer Jen’s Sweet Potato Pie,” she said. “My grandma Exie’s beloved holiday recipe— without the sugar—but with sweet potatoes grown on my family farm!”

The seasonal cold-pressed, fruit and vegetable blend is made with dates, sweet potatoes, silky coconut milk, and a touch of vanilla and pumpkin pie spice. For every pouch of Farmer Jen’s Sweet Potato Pie that's purchased from the nutrition brand, 25 cents will be donated to the organization for children up to $50,000.
