Shockwaves of help and support came immediately to affected areas from both private and LGUs during and after the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses when the country was still reeling from the Super Typhoon Rolly (Goni). Typhoon Ulysses made landfall twice in the province of Quezon as it gets even stronger on Wednesday evening, November 11.
Globe Telecoms immediately rolled out its response and relief efforts to victims of Typhoon Ulysses with free unlimited calls and texts to Globe and TM for up to 3 days, as well as with Globe At Home internet subscribers. Globe immediately intensified its efforts to assist communities affected and was displaced by Typhoon Ulysses.
Globe Prepaid users will be able to make unlimited calls to Globe and TM and unlimited texts to all networks for 3 days.
Globe Postpaid subscribers, on the other hand, will enjoy uninterrupted mobile service until November 14 regardless of payment status of their accounts.
For TM subscriptions, users will enjoy unlimited Globe and TM calls and unli all-net texts valid up to 3 days.
Globe At Home customers will be allotted with FREE 5GB data for Prepaid and Postpaid WiFi customers, valid for 3 days.
A Bill Charge Reversal for Postpaid customers will be offered to those who weren’t able to use their internet subscriptions with no connection during the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses.
These free services will be offered in cities and provinces affected by Typhoon Ulysses. These are: Metro Manila, Nueva Ecija, eastern portion of Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Quezon, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Quirino, central and southern portions of Nueva Vizcaya, southern portions of Benguet and La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Batangas, Marinduque, northern portions of Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro, Albay, Sorsogon, and Burias and Ticao Islands.
Fund raising for relief efforts are also ongoing for individuals who want to donate their Globe Rewards Points or via GCash.
