Subscribing to AppleOne

Apple just launched the AppleOne subscription bundle, which was announced a couple of weeks ago. Apple is aggressively pushing their services to get their users to stay in their ecosystem, and at the same time, attracting those who are still on the fence.

So what are the AppleOne bundles? Well, there are three packages: Individual, Family and Premium. The first two are available in all markets, but the Premium package is only available in markets where News+ is available, unfortunately, the Philippines does not have it.

AppleOne Individual package includes Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple TV+ and iCloud storage for 50GB for PhP375/month, which saves you PhP300/month when subscribed per service.

AppleOne Family package include the same services: Apple Music, Apple Arcade and Apple TV+, but with a 200GB iCloud storage for PhP495/month, a savings of PhP350/month. This package can be shared with five other people in your household.

In the US, the AppleOne Premium package includes the same as the Family package, but with 2TB iCloud storage, Apple News+ and the soon-to-launch Fitness+ package, all at a price of US$29.95/mo., which is a US$25 savings!

Since my main account is tied to the US iTunes account, I got the Premium package, which brings me the following benefits: access to News+ (enjoyed it during the first trial month, but were not able to access the Audio feature, since it was added after my trial period), and access to 2TB of storage, from 200GB. This also gives me the flexibility of adding more Homekit-enabled cameras (200GB iCloud storage only allows for one Homekit-enabled camera). And yes, I am looking forward to the launch of Fitness+ before the end of the year.

Is it worth it? Well, for me and my family, it is definitely worth the investment. More so with the Apple TV+ shows such as Ted Lasso, Tehran, Servant, Long Way Up, Tiny World, Mythic Quest, Greyhound, See, Central Park, For All Mankind, Home Before Dark, Truth be Told, Amazing Stories, The Morning Show, Dickinson, and Defending Jacob, as my favorites so far. Am looking forward to the new seasons of the series I mentioned above, as well as the new series based on Isaac Asimov's Foundation.

So, are you up to it? If you are subscribe to at least two Apple services, you might as well consider getting an AppleOne package.
