About 4,852 have recovered while 146 have died from the disease.

This is a significant development because Navotas used to record as many as a hundred cases a day in July and August.

Navotas Mayor Toby Tiangco reminded his constituents to continue observing minimum health protocols to contain the spread of the virus.

"According to the study conducted by the Institute of Global Health Innovation-Imperial College London and YouGov in 29 different countries, it was found that 93 percent of Filipinos wear face masks whenever they go out. 84 percent wash their hands using soap and water, 77 percent use hand sanitizer and alcohol, and 78 percent avoid crowded places," Tiangco said in Filipino.

"This only shows our willingness to help stop the pandemic. Let's continue observing safety protocols until we have also ensured the safety of our family," he added.
