Baron Geisler to train as navy reservist

Baron Geisler will be joining the Navy Reserves. The actor confirmed this himself sharing a series of photos of him at the 511th Naval Squadron Reserve base in Cebu City.

"My day was such a blessing. Thank you, Abba Father for leading and guiding me to the right path. My Life is purposed to serve YOU and the people I meet on this journey. Thank you for protecting me and my family. I love You," he wrote as caption.

On the comment section, someone asked if he'll be undergoing training as reservist, to which Baron replied in the affirmative.

In another comment, he also teased that he'll have his hair cut soon.

In one of the pictures, the mission of the organization can be read: “to organize, train, equip, and administer naval reservist on assigned area of responsibility in support the mission of Naval Reserve Command and Naval Force."

Note that the Naval Reserve Command (NRC), also known as NAVRESCOM or RESCOM, is one the Philippine Navy's Major Support Commands created for the sole purpose of reserve force management, procurement, and organization.

Training is one of the primary tasks that is handled by NAVRESCOM. One of its primary training unit is the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) and the Basic Citizen's Military Training (BCMT).

Last July, beauty queen and first Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Winwyn Marquez had traded high heels for boots as she took basic citizen military training to become a Philippine Navy reservist.
