Navotas LGU partners with ARTA for ease of doing business

Navotas City residents and business owners can expect a more convenient way of paying their dues to the local government and process their necessary certificates and permits following the signing of Mayor Toby Tiangco of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA).

Although the city already has an existing one-stop shop for business owners, Tiangco said, their partnership with ARTA will now focus on navigating “into an e-BOSS (electronic Business One-Stop Shop)” through online payment.

“We have the whole process except the online payment, that’s we have to work on, including the online Official Receipt, medyo doon kami nahinto (we stopped there),” he said.

For Tiangco, partnership with ARTA is “very important” as it will “institutionalize” the local government’s fight against red-tape.

Tiangco said, they will implement the online payment system once they “settle the issuance of the electronic Official Receipt.”
