In a belated report from the Caloocan City Police, the victim was identified as Christian Nierra or Donna Nierra, 23, from Phase 8A, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.

She reportedly went missing on Saturday until her corpse was recovered.

According to police, several children were playing by the river near Nierra's residence when they saw the victim's body at around 1:30 p.m.

A resident, who was informed by the children of what they saw, then contacted the police who processed the crime scene.

LGBT+ (Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) group Bahaghari in a Facebook post is seeking justice for Nierra and pushed for the “urgent passage” of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identify Expression or SOGIE bill in Congress.

Investigation is ongoing.
