Nico Bolzico on daughter Thylane: ‘She’s my everything’

The first-time father makes the most out of the quarantine period watching his baby girl grow every day

It’s been seven months now since couple Nico Bolzico and Solenn Heussaff gave birth to their first born, baby girl Thylane Katana, but for first-time father Nico, every day is a new journey as he witnesses their baby grow.

In quarantine, Nico is using his time wisely with his family, especially with his daughter. “It allows me to spend time with her, and I realized I would have missed so much if I were not here all this time,” he says to members of the press during the Nespresso home barista event.

The 36-year-old father is also happy that because they are at home, they have created a routine that allows him to play with Thylane. “My routine is, when she wakes up around six to 10 am, I’ll take care of her,” Nico shares. “At that time, she will come down with me and she will play with her toys while I’m making my espresso. To be honest, I am very lucky and I am very happy I can enjoy that morning routine every day.”

She’s my everything’

Now that he’s officially a father, Nico appreciates the life that he has now more than ever. The celebrity dad even acknowledged that they are among the few who don’t need to live trying to make ends every single day, and that this is something he’s truly grateful for.

“When I wake up, the first thing I do is to thank God that I have all my primary needs covered. I remind myself that we are among the lucky ones because we have food and we have a roof to cover our heads,” he says. “On Thylane, it’s crazy how much I see her growing and how much I would have missed if I (wasn't) at home.”

But above all the blessings he has, having his daughter is the one thing he’s most grateful for. “She was born Jan. 1, and every day is a new different thing, every day she changes, every day you’ll learn something. She’s really my blessing,” the Nespresso ambassador says.
