The city's public information office on Wednesday disclosed this after seeing a 93.85 percent recovery rate from its 130 infected personnel or about 122 recoveries.

This means that only seven of them are still recovering from the disease while only one died.

JJASGH Director Dra. Merle Sacdalan-Faustino said the high recovery rate of its personnel was due to "immediate action taken by the hospital's management when they detected positive patients."

“We immediately transfer them to a Quarantine Facility. In fact, we did not allow other healthcare workers to report to work anymore, especially the seniors and those with existing medical conditions,” she said.

“Nadedetermine namin ang kanilang COVID status dahil naka outsource ang COVID testing provided by the Mayor (We were able to determine our healthcare worker's COVID-19 status as we availed of tests provided by the mayor)," added Sacdalan-Faustino. She thanked top city officials for their support to the city's frontliners.

The JJASGH gave assurance that all its infected workers were given an "ayuda (assistance) box," which included five kilos of rice, canned goods, and hygiene kits, among others.

“We included a small note which says, ‘be back soon.' Kailangan nila maramdaman na (They need to feel that) we want them back,” the director said.
