Book that three-night vacation in September NOW

WELCOME! Miniloc Island facade calls us

We can barely believe it—because who has not, in one dark, depressing moment during this quarantine—sincerely doubted that we would ever get out of our houses again and experience the freedom of the outdoors? The beauty of our beaches? The wide expanse of the great beyond?

Well, we can now experience not just any island, but the world’s most beautiful island—sooner than we ever thought—because El Nido Resorts is now open.

RESPONSIBLE TRAVELS Speed boat social distancing

The Department of Tourism has announced Palawan, voted World’s Best Island in 2020 by Travel + Leisure, as one of the first destinations to finally open its borders.

The province is now under a Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ), and with the support of DOT and the local government unit (LGU), their resorts are the first to have received the DOT Certificate of Authority to Operate in El Nido after complying with all the issued guidelines in order to accept leisure guests at a 50 percent capacity.

In September, Miniloc Island will once again accommodate guests who are interested to book a three-night vacation on Sept. 11 to 14

Miniloc Island, celebrating its 40 years of service this year, was the first to open its doors to guests coming from outside Palawan. A maiden flight in the second half of July and a followup flight this weekend have been conducted in coordination with their partner airline, AirSwift.

In September, Miniloc Island will once again accommodate guests who are interested to book a three-night vacation on Sept. 11 to 14. With the ‘travel bubble’ in effect, guests are asked to undergo RT-PCR testing 72 hours prior their departure and they are required to fill out health and travel declaration forms upon reservation. On the other hand, Huni resort, located at Lio Beach on the mainland, is now accepting bookings from those who are based in Palawan only.

Travel and Health Declaration forms are requested upon reservation and confirmation letters, pre-departure letters are sent to guests’ email. Among the package inclusions are a four-day/three-night accommodation, roundtrip airfare via Airswift on the scheduled flights only, roundtrip boat transfers to and from the resort, pre-set full board meals (excluding drinks) served in-room, complimentary use of non-motorized water sports equipment, standard guided tours and activities

As part of the New Normal guidelines, expect these changes on your next trip: All guests and employees are required to use face masks all the time, the Care Lounge is where you will disinfect with foot baths and hand sanitizing, making up rooms will be suspended (because you don’t want to have strangers inside your room while you stay there), spa and main pools will be temporarily closed, and gym use will be by appointment only.

Despite the minor inconveniences of the New Normal travel, expect that nature is still at its finest, and nothing can change that. And with what we’ve all been through—how amazing it would be to experience the world’s best island again.
