K-pop idol and actor Taecyeon of boy band 2PM wrote a note to fans days after Korean media revealed he has a girlfriend.

Taecyeon and his non-celebrity girlfriend were seen having a date in Pyeongchang in Gangwon Province in South Korea.

His agency 51K confirmed his romantic relationship and the actor-singer’s friend revealed his girlfriend is 29 years old and “they have been in a serious relationship for about three years now," SBS News reported.

In a post on Instagram on July 1, Taecyeon told fans "I feel terrible to any of you who were surprised or hurt by the sudden news the other day. I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry about writing to you after so many days as well. I needed some time to go over my thoughts and think of what I should say," he said.

He added, "I am fully aware that you are worried about me. That is why I'm going to continue to do my best as a member of 2PM, also as an actor. Thank you for giving me your support at all times even though I'm not perfect."

Fans commented on the post to show their support with one saying, “Don’t be sorry. We love you.”

“Do not apologize for being happy. Live your life,” another said while one fan posted, “So happy for you Taec.. will always love and support you. Congratulations.”

Taecyeon debuted in 2PM in 2008. He completed his military service in May 2019. He starred on the TV series “The Game: Towards Zero,” which aired from January to March this year.
