At the flag-raising ceremony on Nov. 11, Director Gierran asked the NBI community to “continue showing enthusiasm and vigor in their work as a way of showing love for the bureau.”

The NBI is holding its week-long 83rd founding anniversary celebration.

Gierran, who has been serving as NBI chief for the past four years, will retire this February.

The Director said whatever accolades he has been receiving he owes it the men and women of the NBI.

“Para sa inyo lahat yun  (It’s all for you),” he said about the awards he has received. He added that he owes everything to his team.

Meanwhile, the NBI chief said he is proud that the Bureau remains high in public perception.

“Kaya napala natin napakataas ng rating natin (We have been fortunate to be high in public ratings),” he cited

“Hindi tayo naging involved dun sa mga masasamang gawain (We have been involved in any wrongdoings),” Gierran pointed out.

Even while on holiday mode in celebrating its anniversary, the director assured the public that the Bureau continues to work in running after criminals.
