The fake account, he said uses the name Den Villarojo.

"A Facebook account bearing the name Den Villarojo is posting my profile and pictures. It did not come from me nor did I authorize it to post messages on my behalf," said the prelate in a Facebook post.

His post was shared by Sandigan, the official Facebook page of the Diocese of Malolos in Bulacan. Villarojo will be formally installed as Bishop of Malolos in August.

In the past, Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle also warned the public against six fake Facebook accounts using his name.

According to the Cardinal, he had only one official Facebook account and this was being maintained by the Jesuit Communications (JesCom) under the name: Bishop Luis Antonio G. Tagle.

He warned Facebook users against unscrupulous people using his identity to solicit money.

“I just discovered that a lot of Facebook accounts bearing my name have been created by people I do not know,” the cardinal said at that time.

“Some of those accounts are even being used to solicit money from people,” Tagle added.

He asked the public not to patronize the said sites and to ignore all solicitations, especially of cash donations, coming from it.
