The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Sunday said that good weather is expected in the next two or three days as Typhoon "Ompong" will no longer have any direct effect in the country.
Typhoon "Ompong" is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility but maintains its strength as it moves west-northwestward towards Southern China.
In its 11:00 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said "Ompong" was last spotted at 705 kilometers (km) west northwest of Calayan, Cagayan.
It is moving at 30 kilometers per hour (km/h) in a west-northwest direction, with maximum sustained winds of 145 km/h and gustiness reaching 180 km/h.
