Hubby wanted for wife’s slay nabbed

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — A man wanted for killing his wife in Cavite was arrested in Naujan, this province last Friday afternoon.

Superintendent Roberto Balancio, Jr., chief of the Police Regional Intelligence Unit 4B, identified the uspect as Agustin D. Taborna Jr., 32, a former seaman and resident of Elisian Subdivision, Barangay Anabu II-C, Imus City, Cavite.

Taborna is facing the crime of parricide for allegedly killing his wife, Teresa, last February inside their house in Imus.

The Cavite police found the lifeless body of Teresa inside the comfort room with multiple stab wounds and according to the family maid, a few minutes prior to the bloody incident, Agustin and Teresa were having an argument.

After the incident, Agustin who arrived in the country last January was seen driving his car and went into hiding thereafter.

After almost one month and two weeks of tedious monitoring, the police team was able to ascertain the exact whereabouts of Taborna in Naujan, and last September 14 the RIU arrested him.
