CEBU CITY – The police arrested a high-value drug suspect who yielded an estimated P7 million worth of illegal drugs following a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sambag 2 here this morning.

Reinhard Moreno, 29, was considered a high-value target because of the quantity of illegal drugs seized from him, said Chief Insp. Maria Theresa Macatangay, chief of the Abellana police station.
Moreno allegedly sold a pack of shabu worth P12,000 to an undercover police officer in Upper Kawayan at around 6 a.m.
After his arrest, five big packs of shabu, worth an estimated P6.5 million were recovered from him, said Macatangay.
Police said Moreno was the same person who was arrested in 2016 for using a regulated drug.
Macatangay revealed that based on their monitoring, Moreno sources his illegal drugs from an inmate detained at the Cebu City Jail.
“They conduct their transactions through social media like Viber and Facebook messenger. That’s why smuggling of gadgets into the jail facility should be strictly monitored,” said Macatangay.
