CAMP PRES QUIRINO, Ilocos Sur - The Ilocos Sur provincial police force, headed by Sr. Supt. Jovencio Badua, has launched the “Iskolar ni Manung at Manang Pulis” scholarship program aimed at helping underprivileged but deserving students.

‘Education is the Key to Success’ is the guiding principle that pushed the Ilocos Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company to launch the scholarship program for the benefit of underprivileged but are enthusiastic learners.
Edwin Velasco, a resident of Barangay Lingsat in Bantay, Ilocos Sur, one of the program’s scholars, recently completed a course for industrial electricians at Builders Institute of Technology and is already employed as a lineman by ELKAN Engineering Services in Vigan City.
The scholarship program is likewise aimed at keeping youngsters off illegal activities and instead allow them to establish stronger ties with other community members.
