Calamba City, Laguna — A 17-year-old young man was found dead by his brother with a hack wound in the head after he allegedly stole crops in a nearby farm in Barangay Saimsim, this city, Monday morning.
A police report identified the victim as Reniel Magabo, laborer at Premium Batching Plant, of Purok 6, Barangay Saimsim.
An alias Tio Pio, of Barangay Milagrosa, was identified by the police as the suspect who reportedly complained that Magabo had stolen his crops.
The report said that Magabo informed his family Sunday noon that he would just pick dried woods but after several hours, he failed to return home.
Bryan, the victim’s brother, discovered him in the grassy area of the village and covered by banana leaves around 6 a.m. while searching for him.
