Ruggero Barbieri, former musical director of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, passes away
Italian Maestro Ruggero Barbieri passed away on March 20 at Pope John XXX111 Hospital in Bergamo, Italy due to aneurism in the brain. Confirming the news of his demise was his 21-year-old son, Piolo Barbieri, through Rustan’s CEO Zenaida “Nedy” Tantoco. Last March 12, maestro Barbieri was taken to the hospital after suffering a brain hemorrhage. He was 60.
