At least 36 Filipinos who managed to leave Kabul following the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan are scheduled to arrive in Manila today and tomorrow via separate flights from Singapore, the United Kingdom and, Qatar, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed Tuesday.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that a total of seven Filipinos departed Kabul for Almaty, Kazakhstan – five of them left Sunday while the other two left the Afghan capital last week but the department has only recently confirmed their whereabouts.

Sixteen more Filipinos have left Kabul via military flight and are now in the United Kingdom while 13 other repatriates who previously exited the Afghan capital are now in Oslo, Norway, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed Sunday.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said 49 Filipinos were still in Afghanistan as the government works on bringing home those affected by the armed conflict in the said country.

Thirteen more Filipinos were able to leave Afghanistan through the United Kingdom, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Friday.
