Improving road safety with the Honda SENSING
Road safety has been a long time global and national priority. Data released by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2018 estimate that 1.35-million lives are lost due to road accidents each year. In the Philippines, the Metro Manila Accident Reporting and Analysis System recorded 65,032 accidents with 337 deaths in 2020 in Metro Manila. Though the lockdowns have significantly reduced the accidents, we dream of much safer roads in our version of the new normal. This is centre in Honda’s vision of Safety for Everyone, we want to protect the safety not only of the drivers or riders, but of all vehicle occupants, pedestrians and everybody on the road. This is why our approach on safety is both from product and educational perspectives.
