Talent manager Lito De Guzman expressed his happiness with the success of his boy band, which recently celebrated its first anniversary with a sold-out show at Viva Cafe in Araneta City.
"I'm happy and content with Magic Boyz. Yung months of training for the longest time nagbunga naman lahat. I have provided dance and vocal coaches since day one. Happy ako sa naging resulta. (I'm happy and content with Magic Boyz. The months of training for the longest time all paid off. I have provided dance and vocal coaches since day one. I'm happy with the result)," said Lito during an interview before the concert.
Lito added the group was supposed to have the anniversary show at a bigger venue, but he got nervous. "But this is only the kickoff show, and we plan to hold a bigger one."
Magic Boyz consists of eight young men: Asher, Johan, Shane, Jace, Ian, Rave, Marcia, and Jorge. They enjoy dancing and singing, and some of them are upcoming actors.
Lito promised fans more music, collaborations with other artists, and shows from the group.
He also advised them to keep their feet on the ground and be humble. "Stay positive and determined. Maging marunong makisama. Huwag magyabang and I'm sure makukuha nila yung gusto nila. (Be sociable. Don't brag; I'm sure they'll get what they want.)
Lito advised them to love and respect their careers, even while in a relationship.
"Kung may pag ibig dapat 50-50 yan. Career at pag-ibig. Pwede naman yan eh. Pwede mag-jowa at pwede rin isabay ang career basta 50-50. Kailangan din ang time management. I guess naintindihan naman nila ako. (In a relationship, there should be a balance between love and career—ideally a 50-50 split. It’s perfectly okay to have a girlfriend while also pursuing a career, as long as you manage your time effectively. I believe they understood my perspective on this)," he said.
After the successful concert, Lito believes the group is on its way up. The boy group has already released two songs "Huwag Mo Akong Titigan" and "Bintana." He said: "Hindi magtatagal, No. 2 na kami sa SB19."
On his message to bashers, Lito said: "Wala na tayong magagawa dun. Pero sa lahat ng sumusuporta sa Magic Boyz maraming salamat. (There's nothing we can do about it. But to everyone who supports Magic Boyz, thank you very much.)
