The tournament, backed by Philippine Soft Tennis Association (PSTA), opened its annual netfest with special guests from South Korea who donated 20 boxes of tennis balls.

"With this collaboration provided by the NCAA have been instrumental in shaping the trajectory of Soft Tennis in the Philippines,” said Park Gyeong Man, the president of Korea Jeollabuk-do Soft Tennis Association.

Also present in the event was Perpetual's Frank Gusi, who is the chairman of the soft tennis tournament.

Aside from glory, Park disclosed their plans of bringing Filipina netters from each team to Korea where they can hone their skills.
