Man busted for P988,000 shabu in Taguig


A high-value individual was arrested by police operatives after he yielded P988,380 worth of shabu in Taguig on April 22. 

The suspect, identified as alias Bikoy, 38, was nabbed in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Taguig police at about 10:20 p.m. on Legaspi Street, Purok 2, Barangay Upper Bicutan. 

Police seized about 150 grams of suspected shabu contained in five plastic sachets and a plastic bag.

They also recovered a genuine P500 bill used as buy-bust money, five P1,000 boodle bills, and a coin purse used to conceal the illegal drugs. 

The suspect was turned over to the Taguig police’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit for documentation. 

The police will file a complaint against the suspect for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). 

Southern Police District chief Brig. Gen. Joseph Arguelles commended the operating team for the arrest.
