A senior citizen was arrested by the police for possession of shabu and drug paraphernalia in Taguig on March 6.
Taguig police said the suspect, alias Anthony, 61, was arrested in Barangay East Rembo.
Anthony was arrested when personnel from Taguig police’s Substation 10 implemented a search warrant issued by Presiding Judge Gertrude Orquiola-Moldez of the Taguig Regional Trial Court, Branch 163.

During the search, the police seized nine plastic sachets containing shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), weighing 31.6 grams valued at P214,880, two disposable lighters, a rolled aluminum foil with burn marks, and a folded aluminum foil.
The illegal drugs were submitted to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for laboratory analysis.
A complaint will be filed against Anthony with the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office. for violation of Sections 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) and 12 (possession of equipment, instrument, apparatus and other paraphernalia for dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
SPD chief Brig. Gen. Manuel Abrugena commended the police for the arrest.
