Cloudy skies with isolated rain showers are expected in Metro Manila, parts of Luzon, and the Visayas on Saturday, March 22, due to the northeast monsoon (amihan) and the shear line, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its weather forecast, PAGASA said the shear line is affecting the Visayas, while the northeast monsoon is affecting Luzon.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the amihan, PAGASA said.
Meanwhile, the Visayas, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are also expected in the Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, BARMM, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Palawan due to the easterlies.
The amihan will also bring cloudy skies with rain to the Bicol Region, Cagayan Valley, the rest of MIMAROPA, Apayao, Aurora, and Quezon.
The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
PAGASA warned that flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to heavy rainfall and severe thunderstorms.
