PDEA: P272-M worth of shabu seized in Rizal drug sting

Government anti-narcotic agents confiscated around P272 million worth of shabu following the arrest of a drug suspect during a buy-bust operation in Binangonan, Rizal.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director-General Isagani R. Nerez stated that the suspect alias ‘Ronald’ was collared right before midnight during a buy-bust operation at Rizal Cement Village in Barangay Pantok on Wednesday, March 19. 

During the operation, the PDEA agents discovered 40 black gold foil packs where approximately 40 kilograms of shabu was concealed.

PDAE said alias ‘Ronald’ had been the subject of pDEA’s intense surveillance after gathering information from their tipsters about his illegal drug transactions.

The suspect face charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Illegal Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Illegal Drugs), Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’
