Many SUVs claim to be rugged and capable, yet how many are actually willing to demonstrate this? Land Rover certainly is and has setup a unique Defender Experience right in the heart of BGC.
This event, happening from March 15 - 16, 2025, puts the Defender through an extreme obstacle course designed to showcase its unparalleled abilities. These are all made manageable thanks to the brand’s trademark Terrain Response system that automatically adjusts the vehicle’s various aspects to perform in the selected terrain mode.
Customers are invited to ride along in Defenders while certified drivers demonstrate the 4x4’s capability on the specially-created track. First, there’s the articulation test, where the vehicles go over uneven bumps to show just how much the axles can articulate while still maintaining traction. Next is the ‘Toblerone’ shaped after the chocolate of the same name. This obstacle is designed to test its high ground clearance and articulation as well. The witch’s hat is a cone designed to push the vehicle to one side and test its stability. Finaly, the Terrapod tests the Defender’s ability to climb steep hills as well as control its slow descent.
Besides the off-road test drive, the Defender Experience also offers on-road test drives around BGC streets. There are also static displays, featuring the Defender 90, 110, and 130 models, as well as a car camping display to showcase the many possibilities owning a Defender brings.
Guests will also be able to enjoy snacks and treats under the event tents prepared for their comfort. Sign up and learn more about the Defender and its technologies. The Defender Experience is located at Federacion Drive, corner 9th Avenue, and is open to the public between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
