With both squads holding the same 4-2 record spiked by a three-game winning run, the Lady Spikers and the Lady Tamaraws duke it out for a solo third place when they tangle at 3 p.m.

Raising the curtain for women’s action at 1 p.m. is the showdown between Ateneo and University of the East, with the former trying to regain its form and the latter eyeing its first victory in the first round.

Coming from a convincing win over rival Ateneo, La Salle could only rest for two days as it braces for a big battle against an FEU side that took down Adamson last weekend.

“Masyadong close ‘yong game namin sa Saturday na ‘yon, sobrang tight pero pag-aralan namin, lahat ng teams nire-review namin, pinagaaralan namin kung anong pwedeng makuhang advantage sa kanila,” said DLSU head coach Ramil de Jesus. “Bibigyan namin ng magandang laban ‘tong FEU.”

“It's just about trusting in our system, coaches, and players and just making ourselves prepared for this coming game, because all teams, as coach has said, they're all competitive. So we're ready for all of them,” Shevana Laput added.

The 6-foot-2 outside hitter is expected to take charge again for La Salle after her career-high 25-point eruption against Ateneo. Angel Canino, Alleiah Malaluan and Amie Provido are set to provide necessary support against FEU's Tin Ubaldo, Jerz Petallo, Faida Bakanke, Jean Asis and Chen Tagaod.
