The Cebuana Lhuillier Slo-Pitch Softball team asserted its dominance after capturing the men’s division A title in the 2025 Pangaea Cup International Tournament over the weekend in Clark Field, Pampanga.
The Filipinos clobbered the Saigon Buffaloes, 27-1, for their third straight title. They won over the USA Fattboyz Worldwide, 12-6, last year, and the USA GUzzlers, 12-9, in 2023.
Prior to the championship, the Filipinos overwhelmed the Korea Guzzlers, 17-3, in the semifinals -- a display not only of the team’s overwhelming offensive firepower but also its staggering defense throughout the tournament.
Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL) President Jean Henri Lhuillier lauded the performance of the squad.
“I am incredibly proud of our men’s team for yet again showing what Philippine softball is all about. Their dedication, teamwork, and resilience continue to inspire. Winning back-to-back championships in such a competitive tournament speaks volumes about their hard work and passion for the sport," said Lhuillier, also the President and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier.
