Personnel from the PCG District Palawan Deployable Response Group (DRG), CG Station Central Palawan, and Special Operations Group (SOG) were sent to  low-lying areas  to ensure the safety of residents, conduct rescue operations if necessary, and provide immediate assistance to affected communities.

Affected communities were San Miguel, San Pedro, San Manuel, San Jose, Tagburos, Santa Lourdes, Tiniguiban, Sicsican, Irawan, Iwahig, and Bancao-Bancao.

Several roads were impassable, severely affecting transportation, and flood water has entered houses, prompting the evacuation of residents.

Residents blamed the flooding to lack of a proper drainage system. The city government, in response, said they are addressing the matter.

People in other areas of Palawan were also rescued as flood water continued to rise and vehicles braved the situation to get to their destinations.

Classes and work in schools in Palawan have been suspended to ensure the safety of employees and students.
