The International Shrine of the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage in Antipolo City will hold a Holy Mass and meditative prayer for the healing and strength of Pope Francis at 6 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
“A Night of Hope: Holy Mass and Taize Prayer for Healing and Strength of Pope Francis”, the activity to be participated in by the youth members of the Diocese of Antipolo, will start with a Holy Mass at 6 p.m. to be presided by Antipolo Bishop Ruperto Cruz Santos.
Following the mass, a dialogue with Taize Brothers from France, Bro. Jean-Daniel and Bro. Han-Yol will guide the participants in the meditative prayer and chanting of religious verses and hymns inside the Antipolo’s international shrine housing the 17th century Marian image, the Nuestra Señora dela Paz y Buenviaje.
The Taize prayer proper, which will include moments of silence, and reading of Bible verses, will start at 7:30 p.m.
Bishop Santos had earlier issued a prayer for the healing and strength of Pope Francis, who is still battling respiratory and kidney illness in a hospital in Rome for more than 12 days now.
The short prayer for healing of the pontiff has also been recited during each mass at the Antipolo Cathedral and all parish churches in the diocese.
Prayer vigils, recitation of the Holy Rosary and masses are offered for the intention of the pope's swift recovery in the country and elsewhere in the world.
