President Marcos has dedicated a heartfelt message to Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile as the political icon celebrated his 101st birthday on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14.

In a Facebook post, the President praised Enrile as a man whose life has been a testament to dedication, wisdom, and service to the Filipino people.

"Today, we celebrate a man and his life—a life that, by any measure, has been truly well-lived," he wrote.

"A statesman, a legal luminary, and an exemplary public servant. He has not only witnessed history but has actively shaped it," he added.

President Marcos highlighted the wealth of experience Enrile has amassed throughout his long career in public service.

He also expressed gratitude for the invaluable counsel Enrile continues to provide to the nation, describing him as a source of wisdom.

"In that time, he has amassed a wealth of wisdom and experience, which he generously shares. It is one that all presidents, including myself, have gladly partaken in," he said.

The President also reflected on the unique significance of Enrile’s birthday falling on Valentine’s Day.

"The fact that his natal day coincides with Valentine’s Day reminds us that the sharpness of his mind is equaled only by the warmth of his heart for the Filipino people," Marcos said.

"Happy Birthday, Secretary Tata Johnny Ponce Enrile! We are truly blessed to have you on our team as our Chief Presidential Legal Counsel," he added.
