Tot killed, father injured in motorcycle crash

BACOLOD CITY â€“ A three-year-old girl was killed and her father was injured in a motorcycle crash in Barangay Quezon, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Friday night, Jan. 3.

Police Major Ryan Villasario, deputy chief of the San Carlos City Police Station, said the victims were on their way home when they hit the rear of a truck parked near a gasoline station and thrown off from their motorcycle.

Villasario said the child was sitting in front of her father who was not wearing a helmet. The child sustained head injuries and was declared dead in a hospital, he added.

Her father was taken to a hospital in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. Both parties have reached an initial settlement.
