Police arrested a woman after she was found in possession of shabu in Taguig on Jan. 25.
The suspect, identified as Mary Ann, 39, was arrested at about 6:30 p.m. in Barangay Sta. Ana by members of the Taguig Police Substation 4.
According to the police, during a foot patrol, they noticed the suspect’s suspicious behavior. When they approached her, the police discovered a plastic sachet containing shabu.
The plastic sachet contained 20 grams of shabu valued at P136,000.
The illegal drugs were turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.
The police will file a complaint against the suspect for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) with the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.
