Scam alert! This Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo Facebook account is fake

The social media team of Pampanga 2nd district Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has warned the public about the activities of a fake Facebook account from the former president.
Arroyo served as Philippine president from 2001 to 2010.

Don't fall for this fake Facebook account of former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

This dubious account was the subject of a "scam alert" Thursday afternoon, Jan. 16 on the official Facebook page of the current Pampanga 2nd district congresswoman.

"It has come to our attention that a fraudulent Facebook account is impersonating former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo by copying her profile picture, bio, and cover photo," the post read.

"Please be advised that this account is not affiliated with her, and any solicitations or engagements from it should be disregarded," Arroyo's social media team underscored.

It provided the following official and verified Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo social media handles for the public’s benefit:

"If you encounter any suspicious accounts or receive unexpected messages claiming to be from former President Arroyo, please report them to the respective platform immediately. Your vigilance helps maintain a safe online community," it added.

Arroyo served as Philippine president from 2001 to 2010. She is also a former House Speaker.
