Former President Duterte thanks INC for peace rally

DAVAO CITY – Former President Rodrigo Duterte thanked the Iglesia ni Cristo led by Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo for holding the National Rally for Peace on Monday, Jan. 13.

“I would like to thank Ka Eduardo Manalo and the INC for organizing and mobilizing its members in today's Prayer Rally for Peace. Let’s unite under our flag,” Duterte said in a video posted on the FPRRD Supporters Facebook page.

“This is what our country needs in these critical times. Not impeachment. Not waste of government resources. Not self-serving schemes. Not divisive action. We must unite. We must move forward as one. We must serve our people,” Duterte said.

He thanked groups and individuals who have the best interest of the country and the people in their hearts for showing up in the rally. He said their participation shows that they know and cares for what is happening in the country.

Over 1,000 members of the Maisug Group also joined the rally at Rizal Park in Davao City.

“Amid all the noise, let’s be purposeful and ensure the meaningful future of our children and our children's children. Let us demand what is due our people. Let there be strong and resolute leadership in our country. Let us all unite under our flag,” Duterte said.

The rally opposed the impeachment complaints filed against Vice President Sara Duterte at the House of Representatives.
