Google has rolled out Veo 2 for their paid subscription of Gemini.
Veo is Google’s text-to-video generation tool. Aside from significant improvements over its predecessor, with Veo 2, users can create an eight-second clip at 720p video.
According to Google, Veo 2 has a deeper understanding of real-world physics and how humans move.
Even with content created from the previous Veo, you could typically tell something is off, that maybe this video was generated by an AI. And if you look closer, you may be able to spot the details that would prove the video was indeed AI generated. With Veo 2 however, finding all the Waldos in the video becomes a bit trickier. They do look much better than previous video generation tools and they are much more fluid.
Obviously there is going to be some misuse here. To somewhat reduce that, these videos come with a SynthID to identify them as AI generated videos. SynthID are invisible watermarks. So, that basically means not everyone can be aware that a video may have been generated.
Gemini Advanced is officially priced here at P1,100 per month. First month is free.
