Viola Davis takes command in action thriller ‘G20’ now streaming on Prime Video

Oscar winner Viola Davis is starring in the action thriller film “G20,” now streaming exclusively on Prime Video. 

In “G20,” global stakes, personal grit, and unrelenting action collide. Front and center is Davis as US. President Danielle Sutton, a former military veteran thrust into a deadly siege during a global summit in Cape Town. 

When elite terrorists storm the G20, Sutton escapes capture—and must use her tactical expertise, raw courage, and leadership to save both her family and the world’s most powerful leaders.

Directed by Patricia Riggen (“Dopesick,” “The 33”), “G20” is a tense, propulsive thriller that reinvents the political action genre by centering it around a woman of color in the most powerful seat in the world—then putting her through the ultimate test.

Co-starring Anthony Anderson, Marsai Martin, Ramón Rodríguez, Douglas Hodge, Elizabeth Marvel, Sabrina Impacciatore, Christopher Farrar, and Antony Starr, the film blends high-stakes action with timely geopolitical intrigue and an emotional core that grounds the spectacle in something real.

“G20” is produced by Andrew Lazar, Viola Davis, and Julius Tennon, with executive producers David Fliegel, Rob Williams, Danny Sherman, Logan Miller, and Noah Miller. 

The screenplay is by Caitlin Parrish and Erica Weiss, and Logan Miller and Noah Miller, from a story by the Miller brothers.
