Missing person from Quezon found dead in Tagaytay


MULANAY, Quezon – Two persons from this town were reported missing on Sunday, April 6. One of them was found dead the next day in Tagaytay City.

Police identified the victim as Dexter Roales, 44, driver.

 THE body of a missing person from Quezon, Dexter Roales, was found in Tagaytay City, Cavite on April 7.  

Investigation said Mae, sister of Roales' live-in partner, reported that he and Ruel Roca drove a black Mitsubishi Montero with license plates DBQ-1667 at 1 p.m. on April 6 to transport passengers in Laguna, Batangas, and Cavite.

They cannot be contacted online or their mobile phones hours later, prompting Mae to report them missing to the Mulanay police which coordinated with other stations in Laguna and Batangas to locate them.

She saw a Facebook post from the Tagaytay City Public Information Office that the body of a man was found on the Tagaytay-Mendez Road in Barangay Patutong Malaki North on Monday, April 7.

Mae reported this to the Mulanay police which coordinated with the Tagaytay City Component City Police Station to verify the post.

The Tagaytay City Component Police Station sent a photo of the victim to Mae who positively identified him as Dexter.

Their vehicle was recovered in a subdivision in Barangay Alalum, San Pascual, Batangas on Tuesday morning, April 8.

Follow-up investigation said that unidentified men flagged and boarded the vehicle in Tagaytay City on Sunday and instructed the victims to alight.

Police are continuing to locate Roca.
