Gun runner yields high-powered firearms, ammunition in Bacoor

CAVITE – Authorities apprehended an alleged gun runner and seized high-powered firearms and ammunition in a buy-bust operation in Bacoor City on Monday, April 7.

Police Regional Office 4A (PRO 4A) identified the suspect as alias Jay.

The joint operation led by the Regional Intelligence Division 4A Special Team, with support from the Technical Support Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 4A, and the Bacoor Component City Police Station, resulted in the confiscation of the following contraband:

  • One KG9 long firearm
  • Three KG9 long firearms
  • Two AR15 long firearms
  • One caliber .45 pistol
  • One caliber .22 pistol
  • Six 9mm long double magazines
  • One lower frame of a caliber .45 pistol
  • Three caliber .45 magazines
  • A box of caliber .45 live ammunition
  • A ziplock plastic bag of 9mm live ammunition

Alias Jay is now under the custody of Bacoor CCPS and is facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and the gun ban provisions of the Omnibus Election Code.

PRO 4A Director Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth T. Lucas commended the operating units for the successful buy-bust.

He also encouraged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to local authorities, especially during the election period.
