Police nab 2 carnapping suspects in Pampanga


CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police arrested on Friday, March 14, two suspects allegedly involved in a carnapping incident on JASA Road, Barangay Dolores, this city.

POLICE corner two carnapping suspects inside a Toyota Land Cruiser in San Fernando City, Pampanga on March 14. 

Investigation said Migs, 21, was driving his black Toyota Land Cruiser when two men appeared and seized his vehicle at gunpoint.

The suspects were identified as Reden, 34, and Ryan, 44, both from Bolinao, Pangasinan.

The victim tried to stop them by reaching through the driver’s side window but the suspects sped off and sustained an injury on his left arm.

A concerned motorcycle rider alerted nearby police officers, who, along with Special Weapons and Tactics personnel, pursued the suspects and intercepted the stolen vehicle stuck in heavy traffic. 

The suspects were apprehended and taken into police custody.

Recovered from Ryan was a sling bag containing a loaded .45 caliber STI Edge pistol and a magazine with nine bullets.

Police Regional Office-3 chief Police Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo commended responding officers for their swift and coordinated efforts.

"This incident underscores the vigilance and readiness of our law enforcers in ensuring public safety. Their immediate intervention prevented further harm and led to the suspects' swift arrest. We remain committed to maintaining peace and order in the region." 

The suspects face charges for carnapping, grave threats, serious physical injury, and violation of the Omnibus Election Code.

Fajardo reminded the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to authorities.
