Calm and composed, the 43-year-old Perez (90.45) reaffirmed his mastery with impeccable precision that led him to a 5-2 victory over England’s Carl Wilkinson (80.73) in their men’s finals clash.

This wasn’t the first time Perez had a face-off with Wilkinson as he blanked the English darter in the Scottish tourney’s quarterfinal, 4-0.

The pride of South Cotabato etched his name as the first-ever Asian to conquer the annual tournament which started way back 1986.

Aside from honor, Perez also took home the champion’s purse of £5,000 (around P370,000).

Last February, Perez began his Euro Tour stint and outshone Scotland’s Ryan Hogarth in the final, 5-3, to snare this year’s Target Darts Scottish Open crown.

Meanwhile, Wales’ Eve Watson conquered the women’s event after beating Dutch Anca Zijlstra, 5-2.
