The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking the phased rehabilitation of Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay City to ease traffic congestion and improve road conditions.
In a report from the DPWH-South Manila District Engineering Office (DPWH-SMDEO), the project covers both the northbound and southbound lanes of the major thoroughfare, with work progressing in phases to minimize disruptions.
āRepairs on the northbound section will continue until January 2026, while the southbound section is expected to be completed by October 2025,ā the DPWH said.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes as some lanes will be temporarily closed during the construction period.
DPWH-SMDEO is expediting the rehabilitation process and aims to reopen lanes ahead of schedule to lessen public inconvenience.
