A Hongqi H5 sedan, 2 golf carts from GetGo and Ceb Car, and a one-year membership at Alpha Sports are up for grabs as hole-in-one prizes at the “One Big FLIGHT” fundraising golf tournament on March 19 at the Valley Golf & Country Club in Antipolo City.
Hosted by Ateneo High School Class of 2000 and co-presented by Davies Paint and Century Properties, the event aims to support high school student-athletes competing in various sports.
The tournament, which follows the System 36 format, highlights the beginning of charity events for the jubilarians’ December homecoming.
“This marks the kickoff of a year-long series of fundraising activities,” said Chef Ed Bugia, a prominent member of the organizing batch. He emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, “The tournament is for the benefit of Ateneo high school student-athletes competing in various sports.”
Bam Mejia, another representative of the Class of 2000, underscored the collective effort of their batch.
“We’re excited as a batch to work together and give back to the Ateneo community,” he said.
The event offers a variety of ticket options: P4,000 for Valley Golf members and P5,000 for non-members, which include green fees, cart sharing, lunch, and raffle tickets. For non-players, tickets are priced at P1,000, covering lunch, giveaways, and raffle prizes.
Bugia encouraged the Ateneo community to join and support the cause. “We invite our community members to support us as we raise funds for Ateneo scholars and athletes,” he added.
Tournament registration will start at 5 a.m., followed by the tee-off at 7 a.m. The competition will feature four divisions: Classes A, B, and C, as well as the Ladies Division.
